February 13-16, 2014
Each February, over 400 high school students from throughout the Southeast converge on the USC campus to participate in the USC Band Clinic. Entering its 36th year of existence, the Band Clinic was created by Director of Bands Emeritus James Copenhaver to provide a unique musical experience for advanced high school wind and percussionists. To participate, students must first be nominated by their high school band directors. Those selected will participate in masterclasses with USC School of Music faculty and perform under the batons of some of the leading conductors in the nation.
The 2014 USC Band Clinic will also feature performances by up to two high school bands. Applications for these performance slots are being accepted through July 1, 2014. Information on how to apply is here.
